La iniciativa se desarrolla a nivel internacional y es impulsada por la <strong>Lymphoma Coalition<\/strong>, una red global de organizaciones vinculadas con pacientes con linfoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El origen de la fecha<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El D\u00eda Mundial de Concientizaci\u00f3n sobre el Linfoma comenz\u00f3 a conmemorarse en <strong>2004<\/strong>, con el prop\u00f3sito de aumentar el conocimiento p\u00fablico sobre los distintos subtipos de linfoma, sus posibles s\u00edntomas, la importancia de un diagn\u00f3stico oportuno y las alternativas de tratamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desde entonces, cada 15 de septiembre organizaciones de pacientes, profesionales de la salud y comunidades de distintos pa\u00edses desarrollan campa\u00f1as destinadas a acercar informaci\u00f3n y generar espacios de concientizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lo largo de los a\u00f1os, la jornada tambi\u00e9n incorpor\u00f3 aspectos relacionados con la experiencia de quienes atraviesan la enfermedad, como el impacto emocional, psicol\u00f3gico y social que puede producir un diagn\u00f3stico de c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el linfoma?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El linfoma es un tipo de c\u00e1ncer que afecta al <strong>sistema linf\u00e1tico<\/strong>, una parte del sistema inmunitario del organismo. Existen numerosos tipos de linfoma, por lo que la evoluci\u00f3n, los s\u00edntomas y los tratamientos pueden variar considerablemente de una persona a otra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entre los principales grupos se encuentran el <strong>linfoma de Hodgkin<\/strong> y los <strong>linfomas no Hodgkin<\/strong>, que a su vez comprenden diferentes subtipos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta diversidad hace que la informaci\u00f3n y el acompa\u00f1amiento sean especialmente importantes. La Lymphoma Coalition se\u00f1ala que las personas diagnosticadas pueden enfrentar dificultades para comprender el subtipo de enfermedad, conocer las alternativas disponibles y transitar las distintas etapas del tratamiento y la recuperaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La importancia de reconocer las se\u00f1ales<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uno de los objetivos hist\u00f3ricos de la jornada es promover un mayor conocimiento sobre los posibles signos y s\u00edntomas asociados con los linfomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dependiendo del tipo de linfoma, pueden presentarse manifestaciones como aumento de tama\u00f1o de los ganglios linf\u00e1ticos, fiebre persistente, sudoraci\u00f3n nocturna, p\u00e9rdida de peso sin explicaci\u00f3n o cansancio. Sin embargo, estos s\u00edntomas tambi\u00e9n pueden estar relacionados con otras condiciones y no permiten por s\u00ed mismos establecer un diagn\u00f3stico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por este motivo, ante s\u00edntomas persistentes o que generen preocupaci\u00f3n, es importante realizar una consulta m\u00e9dica. La informaci\u00f3n disponible en campa\u00f1as de concientizaci\u00f3n no reemplaza la evaluaci\u00f3n de profesionales de la salud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un diagn\u00f3stico que tambi\u00e9n impacta en lo emocional<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Con el paso de los a\u00f1os, las campa\u00f1as por el D\u00eda Mundial de Concientizaci\u00f3n sobre el Linfoma ampliaron su mirada para incluir las consecuencias emocionales y sociales de la enfermedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 2024, por ejemplo, la campa\u00f1a internacional puso el foco en la necesidad de mantener conversaciones abiertas sobre c\u00f3mo se sienten las personas que viven con linfoma y quienes las acompa\u00f1an. La propuesta destac\u00f3 que el impacto de la enfermedad no se limita a sus efectos f\u00edsicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acompa\u00f1amiento de familiares, amigos, profesionales de la salud y organizaciones de pacientes puede resultar importante para atravesar un proceso que muchas veces est\u00e1 marcado por incertidumbre, cambios en la rutina y decisiones relacionadas con el tratamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Concientizaci\u00f3n, informaci\u00f3n y acompa\u00f1amiento<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La jornada tambi\u00e9n busca combatir el desconocimiento alrededor de los linfomas. Contar con informaci\u00f3n clara permite que pacientes y familias puedan comprender mejor el diagn\u00f3stico, formular preguntas a los equipos m\u00e9dicos y conocer los recursos de apoyo disponibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Lymphoma Coalition re\u00fane actualmente a m\u00e1s de 100 organizaciones de pacientes de m\u00e1s de 55 pa\u00edses. En Argentina forma parte de esta red <strong>Linfomas Argentina<\/strong>, que brinda servicios de apoyo y educaci\u00f3n vinculados con los linfomas y la leucemia linfoc\u00edtica cr\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Una jornada que se mantiene vigente<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M\u00e1s de dos d\u00e9cadas despu\u00e9s de su creaci\u00f3n, el D\u00eda Mundial de Concientizaci\u00f3n sobre el Linfoma contin\u00faa siendo una fecha destinada a poner el tema en la agenda p\u00fablica y fortalecer el acompa\u00f1amiento de las personas afectadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La campa\u00f1a internacional de <strong>2026<\/strong> se desarrolla bajo el lema <em>\u201cNavigating Lymphoma and CLL Together\u201d<\/em> \u2014\u201cTransitar juntos el linfoma y la LLC\u201d\u2014 y pone el foco en las dificultades que pueden aparecer desde el diagn\u00f3stico y durante el tratamiento y la vida posterior al c\u00e1ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De esta manera, cada 15 de septiembre la fecha invita a informarse, hablar sobre los linfomas y recordar la importancia de que ninguna persona tenga que atravesar sola el proceso que comienza con un diagn\u00f3stico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cada 15 de septiembre se conmemora el D\u00eda Mundial de Concientizaci\u00f3n sobre el Linfoma, una jornada destinada a visibilizar este grupo de enfermedades de la sangre, promover el conocimiento sobre sus diferentes tipos y acompa\u00f1ar a las personas diagnosticadas y a sus familias.
