En ese marco, especialistas resaltan la importancia de la detecci\u00f3n temprana y el tratamiento oportuno de la p\u00e9rdida auditiva, una condici\u00f3n que puede afectar el desarrollo, la vida social y la salud cerebral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De acuerdo con datos de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS), m\u00e1s de 360 millones de personas en el mundo presentan alg\u00fan grado de p\u00e9rdida auditiva, lo que representa el 5% de la poblaci\u00f3n global. En el caso de los ni\u00f1os, la incidencia es de 5 cada 1.000 reci\u00e9n nacidos. Adem\u00e1s, el riesgo es mayor en aquellos que requirieron cuidados intensivos neonatales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En Am\u00e9rica Latina, cerca de 30 millones de personas viven con esta condici\u00f3n y, dentro de ese grupo, unos 5 millones padecen formas severas. En Argentina, por su parte, entre 700 y 1.200 ni\u00f1os nacen cada a\u00f1o con p\u00e9rdida auditiva, mientras que aproximadamente 500.000 personas enfrentan dificultades significativas para escuchar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Frente a este escenario, Misiones se posiciona como referente nacional. El Programa Provincial de Detecci\u00f3n Temprana de Hipoacusia garantiza acceso gratuito a diagn\u00f3stico, tratamiento e implantes cocleares. La iniciativa funciona en el Servicio de Fonoaudiolog\u00eda del Hospital Materno Neonatal y cuenta con equipamiento de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Asimismo, el programa brinda acompa\u00f1amiento profesional continuo. A trav\u00e9s de dispositivos de alta complejidad, calibraciones peri\u00f3dicas y rehabilitaci\u00f3n auditiva, muchos pacientes logran recuperar parte de la audici\u00f3n y mejorar su calidad de vida.
