Estos hongos se encuentran distribuidos mundialmente y se presentan en la vegetaci\u00f3n, en la materia org\u00e1nica en descomposici\u00f3n y en el suelo en forma micelial que es la forma infectante y en los animales dom\u00e9sticos y silvestres, incluido el hombre, el hongo desarrolla la forma de levadura. (o fase parasitaria) a esta caracter\u00edstica se la conoce como dimorfismo. De este complejo de hongos la especie m\u00e1s virulenta, de transmisi\u00f3n zoon\u00f3tica y enzo\u00f3tica es Sporothrix brasiliensis , una zoonosis asociada a los gatos. Actualmente se considera una enfermedad emergente con potencial epid\u00e9mico para la salud humana y animal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En di\u00e1logo con CVI, el director general del IMiBio, Emanuel Grassi detall\u00f3 que desde el a\u00f1o 2021 vienen trabajando en el proyecto a cargo de la Mgter. Bioq.
