Un total de 129 mujeres murieron en un incendio en la f\u00e1brica Cotton, de Nueva York, Estados Unidos, luego de que se declararan en huelga con permanencia en su lugar de trabajo.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las mujeres estadounidenses estaban en busca de una reducci\u00f3n de jornada laboral a 10 horas, un salario igual al que percib\u00edan los hombres que hac\u00edan la misma actividad y las malas condiciones de trabajo que padec\u00edan. En aquel momento el due\u00f1o de la f\u00e1brica orden\u00f3 cerrar las puertas del edificio para que las mujeres desistieran a abandonar el inmueble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las trabajadoras adentro, sin poder salir y todo termin\u00f3 en tragedia: se desat\u00f3 un incendio y las llamas provocaron la muerte de las obreras que quedaron atrapadas.
