Esos 60 meses de su curso legal, muestra su p\u00e9rdida de valor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando apareci\u00f3 val\u00eda USD 51,87 para luego llegar al fin de 2022 con un valor de tan solo USD 5,90, si se lo mide al valor presente del tipo de cambio oficial -$169,14 en el mercado mayorista- y de apenas USD 3,20 medido en la cotizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La permanente devaluaci\u00f3n, convalidada tanto por el Banco Central dentro del esquema de r\u00edgido control cambiario como por los agentes del mercado a trav\u00e9s de canales alternativos, no tuvo piedad con el peso y, por lo tanto, con el billete de m\u00e1xima denominaci\u00f3n. En cinco a\u00f1os la ca\u00edda de valor frente al d\u00f3lar fue de un 88,6% en el circuito oficial, y de un 93,8% seg\u00fan la cotizaci\u00f3n libre o \u201cblue\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En marzo pasado, la diputada nacional Ana Carla Carrizo, de Evoluci\u00f3n Radical, present\u00f3 un proyecto de ley para que el Banco Central emita billetes de $5.000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 la autora del proyecto, la iniciativa tiene un doble objetivo. El primero es econ\u00f3mico:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reducir los costos de emisi\u00f3n en Argentina. El billete de mayor denominaci\u00f3n, que es el de $1.000, se desvaloriz\u00f3 enormemente desde su primera emisi\u00f3n a fines de 2017. Con una inflaci\u00f3n acumulada de m\u00e1s de 420%, hoy se necesitan cinco billetes para adquirir lo mismo que compr\u00e1bamos con uno en 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLa segunda raz\u00f3n es pol\u00edtica. Cada vez que se decide emitir un nuevo billete comienza un debate en la Argentina sobre las figuras, que genera una nueva grieta. Queremos cambiar esa pr\u00e1ctica desde el Congreso y por eso elegimos las figuras de Cecilia Grierson y Bernardo Houssay para tomar lo que nos identifica del pasado, y reivindicar lo mejor del presente, la ciencia y la paridad en democracia\u201d, coment\u00f3 Carrizo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A su vez, diputados de Juntos por el Cambio presentaron en febrero un proyecto para emitir billetes de $2.000, $5.000 y $10.000 con el argumento de que \u201cgenerar\u00e1 un ahorro a las arcas p\u00fablicas dado el elevado costo de emisi\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otra forma de determinar c\u00f3mo se consumi\u00f3 el poder adquisitivo del billete de $1.000 es al confrontarlo con el galopante avance de la inflaci\u00f3n. En 60 meses, desde diciembre de 2017 a noviembre de 2022, la inflaci\u00f3n acumulada fue de un aplastante 780 por ciento.
