{"id":12860,"date":"2022-02-04T04:11:01","date_gmt":"2022-02-04T04:11:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cvinoticias.com\/v3\/?p=12860"},"modified":"2022-02-04T04:11:01","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T04:11:01","slug":"descubren-una-variante-del-vih-mas-virulenta-y-contagiosa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cvinoticias.com\/v3\/descubren-una-variante-del-vih-mas-virulenta-y-contagiosa\/","title":{"rendered":"Descubren una variante del VIH m\u00e1s virulenta y contagiosa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>La variante bautizada VB es especialmente agresiva y triplica o incluso quintuplica la cantidad habitual de virus en la sangre, de acuerdo a una investigaci\u00f3n.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un equipo internacional de cient\u00edficos anunci\u00f3 este jueves el descubrimiento de una variante m\u00e1s virulenta y contagiosa del\u00a0VIH, presente en al menos 109 casos, pr\u00e1cticamente todos en Pa\u00edses Bajos, y el 82% de ellos hombres que mantienen relaciones homosexuales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"la-variante-bautizada-vb-es-especialmente-agresiva-y-triplica-o-incluso-quintuplica-la-cantidad-habitual-de-virus-en-la-sangre-de-acuerdo-a-la-investigacion-iniciada-en-2014-para-buscar-cambios-geneticos-en-el-vih-asociados-a-un-mayor-impacto-de-la-enfermedad-cuyos-resultados-se-publican-este-jueves-en-la-revista-science\">La variante bautizada VB es especialmente agresiva y triplica o incluso quintuplica la cantidad habitual de virus en la sangre, de acuerdo a la investigaci\u00f3n iniciada en 2014 para buscar cambios gen\u00e9ticos en el VIH asociados a un mayor impacto de la enfermedad, cuyos resultados se publican este jueves en la revista \u2018Science\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El VIH destruye los linfocitos CD4, gl\u00f3bulos blancos que protegen a las personas frente a las infecciones, y la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) considera \u201cenfermedad avanzada\u201d un n\u00famero menor de 350 linfocitos por cada mil\u00edmetro c\u00fabico de sangre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El promedio habitual para alcanzar ese umbral es de 36 meses desde el diagn\u00f3stico, pero los hombres infectados con la variante VB alcanzar\u00edan esta situaci\u00f3n solo nueve meses despu\u00e9s del diagn\u00f3stico,\u00a0en ausencia de tratamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De acuerdo al equipo cient\u00edfico, la variante surgi\u00f3 en \u00c1msterdam en la d\u00e9cada de 1990, justo antes de la llegada de los tratamientos m\u00e1s eficaces contra el VIH en los Pa\u00edses Bajos, uno de los pa\u00edses con una mayor disponibilidad de las terapias antirretrovirales, lo que habr\u00eda evitado una mayor expansi\u00f3n de esta variante.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La variante bautizada VB es especialmente agresiva y triplica o incluso quintuplica la cantidad habitual de virus en la sangre, de acuerdo a una investigaci\u00f3n.
